A little about me. . .
Greetings! It is my joy and honor to be able to serve the people of Holy Trinity through music. I grew up in New Philadelphia, OH and began learning the piano when I was 7 years old. Music has always been a huge part of my life. My grandmother and aunt were church organists, my mom and dad sang together in local community choirs, and my dad and grandfather played together in a band for many years. My dad is still active in a community band during the summers playing clarinet. I also immersed myself in music as much as possible growing up, and have tried out many instruments, though the ones I play the most now are clarinet, piano, and organ.
I graduated from the University of Dayton in 2008 with a Bachelor of Arts in Music. I was confirmed in the Catholic Church in April 2008 and married my husband Greg in July. We have four vibrant and energetic children who attend area Catholic schools. I have been a substitute musician at many area Catholic churches, off and on since 2008. I play the clarinet and cantor, and I have sung with the Dayton Philharmonic Hometown Holiday Chorus. I have attended several National Pastoral Musician conventions and piano teaching conferences, and continue to seek opportunities for musical growth. I have taken organ lessons in the past and continue to take voice lessons to further enhance my skills. I teach piano and am a member of the Beavercreek Piano Teacher’s Association, and the Dayton Music Club. I also lead a choir and play for Mass at St. Paul Catholic Church in Yellow Springs.
The choir at Holy Trinity rehearses on Wednesday nights at 7pm, from Labor Day to Trinity Sunday. We welcome singers and instrumentalists alike. Anybody who is interested in becoming a part of our music ministry program is encouraged to contact me at htmusician19@gmail.com. I’m looking forward to meeting you at our next rehearsal!
