A little about me. . .
Greetings! It is my joy and honor to be able to serve the people of Holy Trinity through music. I grew up in New Philadelphia, OH and began learning the piano when I was 7 years old. Throughout my childhood, I had the opportunity to sample many different instruments, from handbells to steel drums, clarinet, saxophone, guitar, marimba, and voice. I sang in my Lutheran Church children’s choir and later in the adult choir. I also sang with the Tuscarawas Philharmonic Children’s Chorus. When I was in high school, I had the opportunity to lead our marching band as a drum major, sang in an auditioned Ladies Ensemble, and was also a substitute musician at the Lutheran Church.
I graduated from the University of Dayton in 2008 with a Bachelor of Arts in Music. I was confirmed in the Catholic Church in April 2008 and married my husband Greg in July. We have four vibrant and energetic children who attend St Luke Catholic Church and School in Beavercreek, where I have been a substitute musician, cantor, and instrumentalist for the past 11 years. In 2014 I began studying organ and then took a break when my fourth child was born in 2015. I have sung with the Dayton Philharmonic Hometown Holiday Chorus, and continue to seek opportunities for musical growth. I teach piano and am a member of the Beavercreek Piano Teacher’s Association, and the National Music Teacher’s Association.
It is my goal to continue to grow this ministry during my time here, and to encourage all who feel the Spirit move them, to make a joyful noise! Anybody who is interested in becoming a part of our music ministry program is encouraged to contact me at htmusician19@gmail.com. I’m looking forward to meeting you at our next rehearsal!
